Statement from Tyne Tees BCC Chairman

I hope that everybody is staying safe and well and looking forward to being able to resume camping with our club again.
Following the latest government easing of lockdown regarding campsites, TYNE TEES BCC have agreed we would like to welcome back members to our THS at Corbridge August 01-19.
This is provisional and subject to necessary permissions being granted and guidelines obtained from C&CC.
Provisional bookings will be accepted by email to monitor numbers.
Further contact details to follow.
To ensure the highest standard of safety for our members and site stewards, we will need to change the way we operate and to conform to club operational guidelines.
Social distancing and social gatherings measures will be implemented as per current government guidance.
Service points for water/elsan facilities will be open, but we do ask members to follow handwashing guidance.
Whilst we will have supplies on site, we ask members to bring with them their own soap and hand sanitiser to reduce the risk of contamination spread.
When visiting local areas support local businesses and please respect local communities.
Be respectful and supportive to fellow campers and enjoy safer camping and a happy and healthy return to the “new norm” of the great outdoor life.
At our next AGM (tba) we will need to fill a number of committee positions.
If any member would like to come forward and be part of the team in any role they would be most welcome.
This is your club, please help to preserve and take forward.
Regards
Terry T
